British Airways Air Service Development Meeting
The Hon Owen K Darrell, JP MP, Minister of Tourism & Transport, Culture & Sport, met with executive representatives from British Airways at their headquarters to discuss air service ahead of the Fairmont Southampton's 2026 opening and the projected surge in demand.
British Airways has seen strong performance this year and has a positive outlook for the remained of 2025 and into 2026. The meeting reinforced the Government's partnership with the airline, and the Bermuda Tourism Authority advised that it has expanded its sales, marketing and business development efforts in the UK market.
The Minister was accompanied by Lester Nelson, CEO of the Bermuda Airport Authority, Erin Wright, Interim CEO and William Griffith, Acting Chair of the Bermuda Tourism Authority; and Aaron Adderley, President of Skyport.
