MINISTRY OF PUBLIC WORKS
ROAD TRAFFIC ACT 1947
MULLET BAY ROAD
FROM
WELLINGTON SLIP ROAD TO FERRY REACH ROAD
ST. GEORGE’S
DEFERRED UNTIL JANUARY 4th, 2022
FOR
BLDC TRENCH WORKS
START UP TUESDAY, JANUARY 4, 2022
THROUGH SUNDAY, APRIL 3, 2022
The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform motorists that the BLDC's trench work be deferred until after the Holidays. The trench works will start up again with a one lane closure on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 and extend to April 3, 2022.
The trench work will remain in the westbound lane on Mullet Bay Road until it reaches Ferry Reach Road unless existing conditions mandate a switch over into the eastbound lane.
Working hours will be from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. weekly from Monday through Saturday. Trench work should reach 200 feet open section lengths at a time.
Motorists, especially construction vehicles, buses and taxis are asked to use caution when passing the open trench since it may at times be near the center yellow line and can be quite deep.
Traffic controls will be under the direction of Island Construction Services Ltd. representatives and will be managed through traffic control signs and signals.
The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the public and apologizes for any inconvenience that may result.
Should there be any questions regarding those works, please direct queries to the attention of Stephen Tucker, Project Manager of the BLDC at 501-3010. Any queries on traffic control should be directed to Tina Beer-Searle, Acting Principal Highways Engineer for the Ministry of Public Works on 501-3044.
