SATURDAY NOVEMBER 6th, 2021 THROUGH SUNDAY NOVEMBER 21st, 2021
The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform the motoring public that the ongoing BELCO trenching project on Middle Road in Smith’s parish will have to implement a road closure. Due to the alignment of the trench butting up against the yellow centerline, the site has become unsafe for the construction workers as the motoring public passes by.

- There will be no access granted to anyone except Middle Road residents.
- All traffic will be rerouted via Verdmont Road or Store Hill.
Motorists are asked to avoid this road closure and to use the alternative routes listed for the duration of this trenching work. Signs will be placed to indicate detour routes.
Traffic controls will be under the direction of BELCO representative and will be managed through traffic control signals and detour signs.
The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the public and apologizes for any inconvenience that may result.
Should there be any questions regarding the BELCO trench works, please direct them to the attention Jonathan Pedro, Project Manager for BELCO at 295-5111 ext. 1441.
