Department of Statistics Recognizes Top Performing Labour Force Survey Interviewers
Last week the Department of Statistics held an awards presentation in recognition of the top five performing Labour Force Survey interviewers for 2018 and 2019.
Out of 4,453 interviews completed during this period, the top performing interviewers, Ms Naomi Fox, Ms Tansae Bean, Mr. Carl Williams, Ms Pattyann Lee and Ms Kitwana Mendoza, completed 2275 - or 51 per cent - of all interviews.
The Minister for the Cabinet Office the Hon. Wayne Furbert JP MP addressed attendees at the awards presentation on Friday, stressing the importance of statistics in a country's decision-making process. He thanked the department for their hard work in producing the statistics and the accompanying report, as well as congratulating each interviewer.
The Labour Force Survey is a household survey which collects relevant information about Bermuda's workforce and economic activity. The information will be used to update key labour market indicators such as employment and unemployment statistics.
The latest Labour Force Survey is currently ongoing with telephone and in-the-field interviews. Only selected homes are required to participate in the survey.
