The Ministry of Health is advising the public about a recall of frozen Tyson Crispy Chicken Strips and Tyson Fully Cooked buffalo chicken strips.  This is a voluntary manufacturer recall due to potential contamination by metal fragments.

Tyson Foods, Inc. has decided to expand a voluntary recall originally issued on March 21, 2019 of frozen, ready-to-eat chicken strip products made at one location between October 1, 2018 and March 8, 2019.

Local distributors Butterfield and Vallis have recalled the following material codes:

Tyson fully cooked crispy chicken strips

25oz bag

Bar code on bag #23700-01410

Tyson fully cooked buffalo chicken strips

25oz bag

Bar code on bag #23700-01409

The products were shipped to Bermuda between November 6th 2018 and March 11th 2019 

During the time period, Butterfield & Vallis brought in 184cs of the buffalo and 253cs of the crispy strips.

Between stock and returns from 21 stores across the island, Butterfield and Vallis have 184 cases of the crispy chicken strips and 86 of the buffalo strips.

If consumers have any product with the indicated UPC code, they should return it to the place of purchase for a full refund or exchange.
