Bermuda Health Strategy Goal 14
14. Ensure Government funding for vulnerable populations is protected and directed to most needy
The Health Strategy aims to protect Government healthcare subsidies and redirect funding to vulnerable populations to ensure available Government funds are dedicated to the populations with genuine financial need and/or in need of special societal protections.
This is a longer term goal that requires reforming the health financing system so that the current $145 million currently allocated to patient subsidies is better targeted to support persons who cannot afford health coverage. The health financing reforms will address this.
