Declaration of the Precincts of the House of Assembly

PARLIAMENT ACT 1957

The Speaker of the House of Assembly, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 20(3) of the Parliament Act 1957, makes the following Order:

As the meetings of the House of Assembly cannot for the time being be held in the Chamber of the House of Assembly in the Sessions House, and Veritas Place at 65 Court Street in the City of Hamilton has been declared as premises to be used for the purposes of the House of Assembly, I hereby declare that the Second and Third Floors of Veritas Place will constitute, during such time, part of the precincts of the House of Assembly; and I further declare that the Sessions House and Grounds, including all designated parking areas on the Grounds, shall be part of the premises to be used for the purposes of the House of Assembly;  and such premises or parts of the premises shall, while declared as aforesaid, be treated for the purposes of the Parliament Act 1957 as the precincts of the House of Assembly.
