Ministry encourages residents to register for Cost of Living Summit

Cost Of Living Summit

The Ministry of Home Affairs invites members of the public, including small and medium sized business owners, and entrepreneurs to register for the island’s first ever Cost of Living Summit, taking place on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at the Hamilton Princess.

The Summit is organised in a direct response to the growing economic pressures faced by Bermudians and will bring together government public officers, industry leaders, and community stakeholders to explore these challenges and design actionable, data driven solutions.

Those who attend will:

  • Hear recent findings from Bermuda’s Cost of Living Public and Business Surveys, which gathered insights from over 2,200 participants;
  • Engage in sector specific panels featuring leaders in food distribution, utilities, imports, healthcare, and housing; and
  • Help shape the future of Bermuda’s economy through open dialogue and collaborative policy development.

The Minister of Home Affairs, the Hon. Alexa Lightbourne, JP, MP, who is leading this initiative, stressed that, “Behind every statistic, there’s a Bermudian family, senior, young person or single parent trying to navigate the challenges associated with rising costs. This Summit is about turning pressure into progress and ensuring that no one is left behind. This is a free event, but registration is required as space is limited.

“We encourage all interested individuals to sign up and participate and contribute to this critical conversation.”
