The Mirrors Programme Celebrates the Completion of Coaching for Success SuperCamp 2024
The Mirrors Programme, in partnership with Quantum Learning Global, proudly concluded the Coaching for Success (CFS) SuperCamp 2024 at Willowbank on Thursday, 24 October. The intensive four-day programme equipped Bermuda’s young participants with invaluable skills in leadership, self-discovery, and personal development, all rooted in the 8 Keys of Excellence—a powerful framework fostering integrity, resilience, and positive connections.
The Hon. Tinee Furbert, Minister of Youth, Social Development and Seniors was on hand to witness the impact the guiding principles had on the 2024 graduates. “Incorporating the 8 keys, which include Integrity, Failure Leads to Success, Speak with Good Purpose, This Is It, Commitment, Ownership, Flexibility, and Balance, into our lives,” stated Minister Furbert, “not only provides a steadfast foundation for success; it signals to others that we believe in our potential and are resolute in living our best lives.”
“The ‘8 Keys’ encourage behaviours that enhance academic performance, deepen personal confidence, and cultivate meaningful relationships, providing participants with tools for success far beyond the camp. I am proud to see so many young people taking advantage of this opportunity through the Coaching for Success SuperCamp.”
Central to the programme was the In-Power-Meant process, created by Dr. Cheyenne Correia-Foster, which guided participants to discover their inner strengths, express themselves with confidence, and positively influence those around them. This transformational approach underscored that “the power within us is meant to be shared,” encouraging each participant to embrace self-awareness and make choices that inspire growth and kindness in themselves and others.
A dynamic team of international facilitators from Quantum Learning Global, bringing over 40 years of expertise in brain-based learning, joined the Mirrors Programme to create a richly supportive and high-energy learning environment. Through a blend of accelerated learning techniques and leadership exercises, the camp developed participants’ social and emotional skills, covering everything from effective communication and apology-making to building strong, enduring relationships.
“It’s exhilarating to witness the growth of these young people, who leave camp with renewed confidence and a suite of skills to help them navigate life,” said Kim Jackson, Mirrors Programme Manager. “This camp is a testament to the strength of community support, guidance, and belief in our youth’s potential.”
Each participant was paired with a dedicated life coach who will continue to mentor them for the next eight months, ensuring the skills gained from camp are further reinforced and celebrated. These life coaches have selflessly volunteered their time and energy, eager to support their mentees through regular check-ins, goal-setting, and progress reviews, cementing the profound experiences shared at camp.
The Mirrors Programme extends profound gratitude to the staff, volunteers, Willowbank team, Dr. Cheyenne Correia-Foster, and Quantum Learning Global’s international facilitators, whose commitment made Coaching for Success SuperCamp 2024 an extraordinary success. This event has truly demonstrated Bermuda’s collective strength in empowering the next generation, fostering a foundation for young people to thrive as confident, compassionate, and community-minded individuals.
