The Department of Parks Presents Movies in the Park: An Unforgettable Summer Experience for All
"We are thrilled to launch the 'Movies in the Park' initiative, providing families and individuals with an unforgettable summer experience," said Lt. Col. the Hon. David A. Burch, OBE (Mil), ED, JP, MP, about the return of an initiative to screen films inside of public parks.
The Department of Parks is delighted to announce the launch of its initiative, "Movies in the Park."
This family-friendly event invites residents and visitors alike to gather at select parks on specific dates throughout the summer and early fall to enjoy the magic of outdoor cinema completely free of charge.
The series aims to unite the community, create lasting memories, and provide entertainment for families and individuals during the warmer months.
Starting on Saturday, 8 July, "Movies in the Park" will showcase a carefully curated selection of blockbuster films that promise to entertain audiences of all ages. The series of four events will culminate with a finale on Saturday, 7 October.
Minister Burch added: "This programme demonstrates our commitment to fostering a vibrant and inclusive community by offering free entertainment options for everyone."
One of the unique aspects of "Movies in the Park" is the availability of tasty meals from local food vendors.
Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase a variety of tasty treats, adding to the overall enjoyment of the movie-watching experience.
To ensure a comfortable viewing experience, the public is kindly requested to bring their own chairs.
Although chairs will not be provided, ample space will be available for families and friends to set up seating arrangements.
