Recommendations for Camps

As a Normal Part of Camp Operations:
- Parents and Guardians:
- Are encouraged to register their children only at registered and approved camps.
- Should monitor their children for signs of any illness and not send sick children to camp.
- Should be aware that respiratory and other conditions, including COVID-19, continue to circulate in Bermuda - Even if a child tests positive for COVID-19, but has no symptoms, she/he should not attend camp.
- Camp Operators:
- Should be aware that all camps should register and be approved to operate to better ensure the safety and health of camp participants and staff.
- Should be aware that respiratory and other conditions, including COVID-19, continue to circulate in Bermuda and take appropriate precautions.
- Should ensure that throughout every day, doors and windows are open for optimal air circulation and that participants and staff practice good hand hygiene.
- Should hold as many activities outdoors in a sheltered area, as often as possible, and weather permitting.
- Should monitor participants and staff for signs of any illness and remind parents not to send sick children to camp - Even if a child or camp staff member tests positive for COVID-19, but has no symptoms, she/he should still not attend camp.
- Should be aware that Department of Health inspectors will visit periodically to provide support and guidance.
- Should ensure that all attendance details are updated daily, as they may be requested by visiting Department of Health inspectors.
