You can bring in or report sick, emaciated and/or injured wildlife to the Wildlife Receipt Centre (WRC) at the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo (BAMZ).
What kind of animals can be brought to the WRC?
The WRC will accept any wild animal found in Bermuda. It does not accept pests, feral, invasive, pet or domestic animals like chickens, cats or dogs.
The staff at BAMZ are experienced in working with multiple species, ranging from something as small as a tree frog to as large as a whale. The most common animals received are marine turtles and seabirds.
What does the WRC do with the wildlife?
Any wildlife brought to the WRC are examined by our veterinarian, assessed as to their health and released as soon as possible. Whenever possible, they are tagged before release back to the wild.
