The Minister of Home Affairs, the Hon. Alexa N.H. Lightbourne, JP, MP., was invited to participate in a Global Energy Efficiency Alliance Roundtable (GEEA) which was convened on the margins of the World Government Summit (WGS) 2026 which took place in Dubai, United Emirates from 3-5 February 2026.
The Minister of Home Affairs represented Bermuda at the 2nd Africa–CARICOM Summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia (6–8 September 2025), convened by the African Union Commission with Heads of Government of CARICOM.
During the trip, the Minister of Home Affairs engaged with CARICOM Heads of Government and regional bodies to deepen ties with CARICOM and to advance Bermuda’s strategic objectives.
The Minister of Home Affairs attended the invite-only Forbes 13th Annual Power Women’s Summit in New York on September 10, 2025, a forum where global leaders and innovators convened under the theme “Building What’s Next.”
Minister of Home Affairs, the Hon. Alexa Lightbourne, JP, MP, who holds responsibility for CARICOM matters, travelled to Montego Bay, Jamaica, from July 6th to 9th, 2025, to participate in the 49th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of CARICOM. She joined the Premier, the Hon. David Burt, JP, MP, and MP Christopher Famous as part of Bermuda’s official delegation.
Minister of Home Affairs, the Hon. Alexa N.H. Lightbourne, JP, MP represented Bermuda at the Caribbean Energy Forum (CREF) 2025 which was held in Miami Florida from 7-9 May 2025. This year marked the Forum’s 17th year.
