The Bermuda Plant Finder is an illustrated guide to Bermuda’s indigenous and invasive plant species, developed by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
The purpose of this document is to provide inspiration for the protection and enhancement of Bermuda’s biodiversity, through better management of its coastal areas, woodlands and managed landscapes. Additionally, it is hoped that it will provide assistance in the development of Conservation Management Plans and Landscape Schemes, required by the Department of Planning.
Each plant is listed alphabetically by the botanical name, followed by the common name and plant family. Each record describes maximum height, type and growth rate. Tolerances for wind, salt and sun are provided, along with suggested uses and habitats where the plant is best suited.
