As part of Bermuda’s Economic Recovery Plan, the Ministry of Labour’s National Jobs Strategy and Youth Employment Strategy includes preventing future unemployment and increasing opportunities for the training and development required to equip Bermudians for the future world of work.
For many in our community, college and university educations are vital for securing employment opportunities in Bermuda. However, the cost of this education is high, and scholarships are essential to completing their education and obtaining a degree.
To that end, in collaboration with Bermuda Scholarships, the Department of Workforce Development will hold a virtual guidance session on navigating bermudascholarships.com and providing strategies for creating robust scholarship applications.
Students interested in improving their prospects of becoming scholarship recipients are encouraged to participate in the following virtual information sessions:
·Scholarship Application Guidance, held on Thursday, 17 February, only from 4:00 – 5:30 pm.
·Nailing Your Personal Statement & Essay, held for two separate groups on either:
o Tuesday, 22 February, from 4:00 – 5:30 pm, or
o Thursday, 24 February, from 4:00 – 5:30 pm.
