Since assuming the role of Minister with responsibility for Tourism, Senator the Hon. Owen K. Darrell, JP, has actively worked towards strengthening partnerships within Bermuda's tourism sector. In a recent series of engagements, Minister Darrell met with the Bermuda Hotel Association (BHA), visited Grotto Bay Resort, The Reefs, Azura, Cambridge Beaches, Newstead, and Hamilton Princess, along with several collaborative sessions with key stakeholders, including the Bermuda Tourism Authority (BTA).
"As the Minister with responsibility for Tourism, I am eager to strengthen relationships with stakeholders in the tourism industry and enhance Bermuda's tourism product," remarked Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport, Senator the Hon. Owen K. Darrell, JP. "My visits provided a valuable opportunity to meet our hospitality partners and reaffirm our collective commitment to providing enriching experiences for our visitors."
"This time of the calendar year is important for hotels as they are undergoing inspections and planning for a successful peak tourism season. It was an ideal time to meet with the General Managers and Staff to discuss the meticulous preparations and strategies that will set the tone for Bermuda's hospitality landscape over the coming months."
