Fall Bursary Awards for Public Works Posts Available

The Government of Bermuda is calling on young Bermudians with a passion for public service and infrastructure development to apply for the Fall 2025 Public Service Bursary Awards. The deadline is September 10, 2025.

For this round of Bursaries, the focus is on two critical roles within the Ministry of Public Works and Environment:

  • Architect – Public Lands and Buildings:

This role plays a vital part in designing and maintaining Bermuda’s public infrastructure, including schools, government offices, and community spaces.

  • Building Surveyor – Public Lands and Buildings:

Building Surveyors ensure the safety, efficiency, and longevity of Bermuda’s public buildings. 

These bursary-supported posts are designed to attract skilled professionals into specialized fields that are essential to the effective operation of government services and infrastructure. 

This is a unique opportunity to gain financial support while preparing for a career that directly contributes to Bermuda’s development and public well-being. 

Bursary Award Benefits:

  • $20,000 per annum, renewable for up to five (5) years.
  • Supports tuition and educational expenses for students pursuing qualifications aligned with Public Service needs.
  • Offers a pathway to meaningful employment in the Bermuda Government upon graduation.

 Eligibility Criteria

To be considered, applicants must:

  • Be Bermudian.
  • Have completed at least 5 years of schooling in Bermuda.
  • Be 40 years of age or under at the time of application.
  • Be accepted into or currently enrolled in an Undergraduate or Master’s Degree programme.
  • Be pursuing a qualification relevant to the Public Service.
  • Be committed to a career in the Public Service upon completion of their studies.
