EDD Partners with ViableEdu to Boost Bermudian Talent with ‘Finance to Fintech’ Course

The Economic Development Department (EDD), under the Ministry of Economy and Labour, is thrilled to announce the launch of Finance to Fintech, a month-long course designed to equip Bermuda's residents with essential skills and knowledge for success in the burgeoning fintech industry.

Developed in collaboration with ViableEdu, this initiative marks a significant step towards strengthening local talent and providing Bermudians with opportunities to upskill in fintech.

The programme offers a comprehensive curriculum covering key topics, including capital markets, electronic trading, digital assets, and career development strategies. Participants will benefit from weekly networking opportunities with industry leaders, hands-on learning modules, and tailored career guidance to prepare for fintech roles.

Jason Hayward, Minister of Economy & Labour, said, "This programme is a key addition to Bermuda's commitment to innovation and economic growth. By equipping Bermudians with the tools to excel in fintech, we continue building a workforce capable of thriving in emerging industries and supporting Bermuda's competitive edge on the global stage."

Joel Brown-Christenson, Co-Founder and Head of Programming at ViableEdu, added, "ViableEdu is excited to partner once again with the Economic Development Department of Bermuda, this time in the form of the 2025 Finance to Fintech programme. This joint effort will help democratise access to virtual financial education and tech training for those who are looking to enter the rapidly growing fintech industry."
