The Department of Workforce Development is now accepting applications for the 2022 Graduate Trainee Programme.
As part of the Bermuda Economic Recovery Plan’s Youth Employment Strategy, the Ministry of Labour launched the first Graduate Trainee Pilot Programme in February 2021, with 15 recent college/university graduates involved.
The participants received coaching, employability skills training and one-on-one support to develop their personal brand. They also had the opportunity to gain industry experience in their area of study. At the conclusion of the programme, and to assist with transitioning into their careers, all involved benefit from a three-month work placement sponsored by the Department of Workforce Development.
Minister of Labour, the Honourable Jason Hayward, JP, MP, said, "The Ministry is committed to developing and ensuring opportunity for Bermuda's Youth and pleased to offer the programme for the second cohort of recent college graduates."
Unemployed recent college and university graduates are encouraged to apply through the Bermuda Job Board at www.bermudajobboard.bm.
Applicants must submit:
• An official transcript;
• Copy of awarded degree;
• One written reference; and,
• Résumé and Cover letter, highlighting career goals and interests.
The application deadline is 10 November 2021.
