The Ministry for Cabinet Office with Responsibility for Government Reform is advising that beginning Monday, August 20 the Bermuda Post Office will implement increased security measures at the General Post Office (GPO), Church Street, Hamilton.
The public should be aware of the following changes:
- After-hour access to GPO mailboxes will be from 6:00 pm until 7:00 am, Monday to Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday.
- After-hour access to GPO mailboxes will be via keypad entry only. Mailbox users will be required to use their personal identification number (PIN) to enter.
- GPO Administrative Office employees and other Government employees who work in the GPO building will still have after-hour access via swipe entry through the employee entrance on Church Street.
The public is encouraged to take advantage of sub post office mail drops located throughout the island after regular hours.
