Purpose
The purpose of the Space and Satellite Policy Advisory Group is twofold:
- To provide the Ministry of Home Affairs with advice on the development of the space and satellite industries in Bermuda. Advice provided by the group will be used in the formulation of policies, including laws and regulations to support the space and satellite industries in Bermuda.
- To serve as a mechanism through which satellite industry stakeholders formulate positions on policy issues of mutual concern. The Government would then advocate for these positions in relevant policy venues
Responsibilities
The group shall:
- Identify and discuss space and satellite policy issues of concern.
- Advise the Ministry Home Affairs on the needs and objectives of industry with respect to such policy issues.
- Advise the Ministry of Home Affairs on matters affecting policy, regulation and ad hoc activities relevant to the Bermuda space and satellite industries.
